Greetings from the 5th GRADE (KALUSH SPECIALIZED ENGLISH SCHOOL #2, UKRAINE)

Number five otherwise - Piątka inaczej

NUMBER PATTERN

KABOOM! - addition and subtraction in the range 20

You need a large number of sticks. Write on them various mathematical operations. On every fifth stick write KABOOM!

Put all of the sticks into a cup in face down so students can't see what is written on them.
Here's how to play:
1.  First student pulls out a stick.
2.  The student identifies the "answer" or "correct response."  If their answer is correct  he or she gets to keep the stick.  If the answer is incorrect, the stick must go back in the cup.
3.  The students continue around the circle, selecting one  stick at a time and answering their question.
4.  Any student who pulls a KABOOM! stick has to place all of the sticks they have accumulated back into the cup, leaving them with zero.
5. The winner is a student who collects the largest amount of sticks.

Counting the months of 30 days, with 31 days

Counting the months of 30 days, with 31 days with the aid of my hands
An old way, we learned from grandparents, to calculate the number of days each month is the best known way of making punch our hand and calculating those months fall between the fingers have 30 days while those months fall in bone have 31 days. It becomes a special mention for February.

Our last fairy tale for number six

five plus one six animals in the line

three plus three six picks flowers in field

Addition and subtraction are definitely my favorite concepts to teach.

Addition and subtraction are definitely my favorite concepts to teach. It really is so much fun! I especially love using stories to go along with the lessons because they really help to provide a real-world context for solving problems we made up our own addition stories and drew them on chart paper. The kids took turns telling the stories using words and then writing the number sentences. Then we made our own class book of addition stories!
If You Were a Plus Sign

Four and three makes seven birds on the wire

FOUR BALLS AND TWO DUCKS MAKE A TEAM FOR SIX FRIENDS

Two kids and one with foyr hearts of love

UNCE UPON THE TIME 5 FISHES PLAYED WITH 1 FISH AND BECAME FRIENDS OF SIX

Thre plus three is an apple six tree

My students enjoy very much this activity. Try it. You can do it for division and multipulation, too. It is an opportunity to develop language skills and the dialogue and interaction.

Fun and Games Math

All about number seven.

·         Seven the rainbow's colors/the wonders of the world/the days of the week/ the wolf and seven goats/ seven Byzantine musical notes.

All about 7 are a rainbow

The numbers of this week was 6 and 7

It is very important for students to understand what those numbers means to our lives. Number 6: insects has 6 feet/guitar has 6 /6th symphony by Bettoven...So our number 6 became a ladybug(I took the idea from Alexandra)

what happens to number 6

color the flower choose from below which are the additions of 6 cut and glue on the leaves

Our 6 became ladybugs

the flower of 6

We choose number 5.

Each team has two plates and 5 apples. They have to put the apples in the plate in 6 different ways ,so as to create number 5 with addition. We follow the same procedure for number 4 and 6.

The fairy tale of number 5

Addition and subtraction are definitely my favorite concepts to teach. It really is so much fun! I especially love using stories to go along with the lessons because they really help to provide a real-world context for solving problems we made up our own addition stories and drew them on chart paper. The kids took turns telling the stories using words and then writing the number sentences. Then we made our own class book of addition stories!

We paint one addition of four and tell its story.

Paint and tell the story of five addition.

This fairy tale was for number 6 but my students wanted to do it for numbers 4 and 5 so I let them to express them selves. They like 5 very much,I cant understand why.

This was the last lesson for number five.

The students cut and glue the five man whose trousers has the additions of making the five number. The students must color it. Here is the result.

HE IS THE FIVE MAN WITH TROUSER FOR ADDITIONS

WE LEARN HOW TO MAKE 5 WITH ADDITION

Mnożenie - gra online

Grę przygotował uczeń klasy 3 d Olek Kloskowski. Ćwicz mnożenie i baw się.

Domki obliczeń - Calculations in homes

Zabawę matematyczną wymyśliła uczennica klasy 3 d, Maja Wiśniewska. Przygotowała plansze i zadania dla zespołów. Celem zabawy było utrwalenie tabliczki mnożenia. Zespoły obliczały przykłady w domkach na czas.

Fun came up with a mathematical student from class 3 d, May Wisniewska. Prepared boards and task teams. Students practiced multiplication of numbers.
